Just got caught up to the show on the DVR. Lots of good comics this year, but I'm a little puzzled at the selections for finalists. There are about 5 who should absolutely be there, and the rest left me scratching my head. There are about ten comics left out that were better than those five.
Not that anyone watched evidently :wink: but (and blame my DVR for this post being almost a week late) I just watched my last episode of this series. Tommy Johnagin got completely screwed. He was by far the best of the final 5, and the actual winner had about two funny jokes in the whole season.
Yeah, I kind of agree. Definitely agree on the finalists... and those 5 who shouldn't have been there were the first ones gone. I have no idea whatsoever why they picked them. Complete mystery.Quote:

I don't think Felipe was completely undeserving, though.. he was pretty funny. But Tommy probably should've won.
Tommy got screwed no doubt. Both Mikes(Myqs) were better than Fillipe(sp). The guy is in no way funny. Yeah he can tell a joke here and there but I never got into his act. Tommy is hilarious, unlike the winner, two of the judges and the host. Good lord it got painful listening to Craig Robinson at times. And his band...wow...I'd rather listen to someone scratch a chalkboard.
Felipe had a funny delivery and mannerisms, but his material was horrible.
C'mon...we all know why Felipe won. Johnagin is pro, one you would go see repeatedly. Felipe...his Mexican-themed schtick will run dry quick.Quote:

I respect everyone's comments here, as everyone has their own unique idea of what is funny and what is not funny.
With that said, this year LCS wasn't so hot. I think the only way to save the show is to move it to HBO. Then it would be brilliant.
It shouldn't surprise anybody. Remember Dat Pahn won the 1st season.
