Meeting spot by the fairgrounds
Leading an event in the Fairgrounds next Saturday evening, will be done around 7ish. I may not have time to get out there to look, suggestions on a decent meeting spot for after - for around 15-20 people?
Bars are ok, would just want one that isn't as dark, etc.
Thx!

How close do you need to be? If you head out east on University there is both a Legends and an Okoboji Grill. Not sure of distance....maybe 2 -3 miles?

Gerri's. Best wings in town and always a friendly face behind the bar. Might be a couple unsightly people around, but they're harmless.

IF you're looking just to sit, eat and talk then there's Waveland right across the street.

Gerri's DOES have the best wings in town and is within walking distance to the main entrance of the fairgrounds. I highly recommend it for the wings, but will also 2nd the warning of possibly seeing a couple of unsightly people due to the location but that has always added to the entertainment for the group of people that I go with.

It's actually a photowalk in the late afternoon. If there is a car auction there, that could be good.

The East Waveland is closed (though the sign is up on the corner) but noticed last Saturday when cruising by that another restaurant is operating in that space. I think they were advertising prime rib that night, but could be wrong.

Cool...see you there! Sounds good! It's a last-minute thing leading the walk, had a request to do it. Still setting up some of the stuff for it.
