My work laptop is a Dell 1545 laptop. The touch pad is bugging me. When I type I must bump it and it jumps me to random places. Is there a shortcut button that turns the touch pad on and off when I want or when I have a mouse plugged in? I know if you push Fn F7 on a lot of Acer laptops it turns the touch pad on and off.
I really hate Dells for this. Most laptops I know have a button right next to the touchpad that allows you to deactivate it. I have absolutely no idea where it is on a Dell.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
maybe you would be happier if you just turned off the tap to click feature on the pad. Then the pad will still work, you would just not be able to tap the touch part to preform a click function.

This is what I ended up doing on my current laptop and it has taken care of my issues.
