Re: So there I was...
...last Friday, backing out of a parking space, almost all the way into the isle, when some turd driving a big truck with squak license plate ran into my car so hard I was nearly pushed into the car next too me. The other driver told me, and the cop writing up the accident report, that he was not looking forward as he was driving through the parking lot. But hey, that's okay, because the insurance companies say it was my fault. The person backing up is always at fault.
There was a witness that was going to give a statement, but now he won't talk to the insurance company.
I'm giving serious consideration to living in a compound in the mountains, eating berries and nuts and shunning civilization for awhile.

I'm giving serious consideration to living in a compound in the mountains, eating berries and nuts and shunning civilization for awhile. ive debated this too. some of the driving laws need to be determined on a case by case basis. such as this one. Iowa State Daily: Home - Police Blotter 6.8.10
the first one w/ the pedestrian and the truck. the pedestrian was looking at her feet instead of paying attention to crossing the street in the crosswalk and walked into the side of the truck. and the driver was at fault. the blotter is also correct...the daily doesnt edit this and screw with it like it does with most other things
