    Creston Heat Index of 147?

    Just checking out this website and noticed some of the dew points and heat index readings as high as 147 in Creston.

    Weather Guru's........Can this be right?

    Given that it's within 7 degrees of Winterset I'd say yes. There are like 3 within 6-7 degrees up that high.

    Dew point of 90 seems awfully high. Checking Galveston, it looks like their dew point is 81. A few miles apart, I know, but you'd think sitting on the Gulf would be just about the highest dew point you'd see...

    I can concur that it is really hot out here in Creston. But I think 111 is more accurate.

    My roommate is a meteorology major, and he basically said that's not possible. Data from the National Weather Service is going to be more accurate.
