Any idea on if/when us Droid Eris users will get the Android 2.2 update?

Last I knew the Eris, Legend and Hero were all left off the press release that detailed HTC's roll out plans. There are ROMs out already I believe if you're interested in going that route.

I don't think the Eris is going to get 2.2 firmware officially. It doesn't even have all the 2.1 features like live wallpaper. You could go the root > custom ROM route though. Personally, I just switched launchers from Sense to Launcher Pro and I've been pretty happy.

Supposedly, there were rumors of it coming out a few days ago, but never happened. I am going to wait a couple more weeks, and if we get nothing, I am going to root it.
