    It absolutely amazes me how people from all over the states come here to do this. Some tennessee guy rode his bike all of the way here. I can barely ride to Caseys a couple of blocks away.

    Team Bad Boy still ride?

    Those guys would take about a month off and ride in from CO, do Ragbrai, and ride back out.

    Remember one year a guy had a bar in tow... literally, seats and all. Another year when it started way up north with no bridge nearby, somebody towed a canoe to get across the Missouri...

    I did a little checking. It's about the same length as the climb up into Boone. The difference is an ~ 1/4 mile section in the middle that gets as steep as 19%.
