It absolutely amazes me how people from all over the states come here to do this. Some tennessee guy rode his bike all of the way here. I can barely ride to Caseys a couple of blocks away.

Since we are just a few days from this starting, thought I would see who all on CF is doing it this year. Once again, I will be driving a support truck.
I can't believe they're letting you drive the support truck after what happened with you at the wheel of the support car in '08!

Wow! Where did you find that? That's going to leave a mark!
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr

Team Bad Boy still ride?
Those guys would take about a month off and ride in from CO, do Ragbrai, and ride back out.
Remember one year a guy had a bar in tow... literally, seats and all. Another year when it started way up north with no bridge nearby, somebody towed a canoe to get across the Missouri...

Wait... what? RAGBRAI went through Mexico in '08?
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

I'm coming in from Philadelphia. This will be my third! Can't wait.

Wow, that's a long ride! I hope you have already left.

I hear the only hill of note is the last day - "Potters Hill"?
supposedly makes that long one outside of Boone look like childs play.
of course there's always the Leoss Hills on the West side - but eveyones used to those by now - just grind 'em out an get it over with.
of course if you're in Colorado none of this will seem like any climb at all
I did a little checking. It's about the same length as the climb up into Boone. The difference is an ~ 1/4 mile section in the middle that gets as steep as 19%.
