Re: KXNO's- Beat it segment
It's a nice change of page but I stopped listening to it last year because nearly all of the songs were from the 70s and 80s and I didn't know 3/4 of them. If they extended into the 90s and 2000s, I will jump back on the wagon.

re: The Lost stuff...we talked about that show for 20 minutes a week, max, and some folks act like its all we did. I guess I should be thankful that so many people were listening to the program at 6:30 on Wednesday mornings to be irritated about that segment ;) I think you guys should continue to put it into the program somehow, especially before football starts. It is a great way to start the day on the commute to work and get the brainwaves flowing, not to mention I loved it when you guys called it a beat o**, for playoffs. Maybe it is the 3rd grader in me, but made me laugh everytime.

Re: KXNO's- Beat it segment
It is fun and since I'm about the same age at Miller and Deace, the songs are very relavent to me. That said, at first I was a bit disappointed when I heard "Beat it" was up next, but in the end, it was a good time.
Deace did get burnt on the Johnny Cash song though. Seriously, that was easy and I'm not a country music fan. You just have to know that riff!

Quit listening a couple weeks ago. They don't talk sports so I don't listen. The Champ talks sports so I listen, except when they talked about soccer.

Bite your tounge!!!
“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...” – columnist Sean Keeler, Des Moines Register -

Re: KXNO's- Beat it segment
Problem is most of this audience doesn't watch baseball at night and they would rather talk CFB.
I don't mind them doing this stuff in the summer but they should be doing interviews and previewing games during football and basketball season.

You're trying to say that people in central Iowa don't watch baseball? There were 13k at a minor league game last night. Three of the 5 local teams are in the race for division titles and the trade deadline is near... Instead we get to hear about how Ole Miss is gonna be this year? In the middle of the summer?

Of course they watch baseball. Unless I'm wrong, they have a much greater appetite for football, even in the summer.
I like talking baseball and I can't get somebody in my office to talk to me about it because nobody follows it closely. However I heard a 50+ year old lady talking about how Jay Cutler has a big arm today.

Meanwhile, my office is louder than it has been all day with all the Cubs fans talking trash to the Cards fans... When Colvin hit his homerun you could actually hear people chearing...
