I was just waiting to see someone suggest that fat people should be rounded up and loaded off to concentration camps, and then someone to suggest that obesity isn't a problem and we shouldn't pick on these people, and let the sparks fly.

I think there are actually a couple things in play here.

At least in the DM airport you have Allegient which has flights to Las Vegas and Orlando. I love Las Vegas but these two destinations are white trash destinations.

I also think that flying has become a lot more mainstream. It used to be something the average american would rarely do and was considered special. Now everyone and there brother does it so no one dresses up.

Comfort-My wife nearly always dresses nice but when she gets on a plane it's all about comfort for her. The last time we traveled I actually looked at her and said "that is what you're wearing". The the first time I've said that in 15 years (and probably the last).

As CF's resident fat guy it always is fun to read people's responses to overweight issues on this board. Everyone's an expert. Every fat person chooses to be that way and is lazy and deserves to be ridiculed. It's one of the only classes of people that it's totally OK to openly have prejudice against.
Not everyone hit the genetic/metabolism lottery.
