I'm sure they would as I just pull up and have never had to show a card, but you would have to ask them.
I had a not-so-great experience with the new (or should I say relocated from Douglas Ave) Firestone Service Center on Merle Hay Rd. They initially charged me for insurance or warranty protection (I'm not sure what they called it) without asking me if I was interested. I got them to take it off my bill, but I won't be back.
For future reference, I'd be interested in LOCAL recommendations. I saw a shout out for Flatt Tire. Any others? I always prefer doing business locally if possible before having to settle for shipping off my dollars to the Big Boxes (e.g.…Sams, Costco, etc).
Simon Tire is located downtown DSM:
Simon Tire & Cellular: Des Moines Tire and Auto Service Since 1914.
So I took your suggestions this morning and some research. I did some reviews of tire brands and called Costco/Wal Mart. The brand they had rated at 5.8 on TireRack (Goodyear Integrity). Set of four with install for around 520. Checked into Tires Plus and could get Firestone Destination (rated 8.8 on TireRack) for 530. Now if I could find a 10 or 20 percent coupon from Tires Plus in Sunday ads, I'd be set.
If they have what you are after, Costco is very good.
If you want a local small chain with great service and fair prices, I went here, but they have several locations:
Waukee Iowa Heartland Tire & Auto Pella, IA (800) 798-4361
FWIW I got 4 used tires put on for $160 installed.
