Re: Top Party Schools...
Just to correct an prior statement, you have to be 19 to enter a bar in the Champaign/Urbana area (University of Illinois). Many of the students get fake ID's or have a friend that is the door man so they find a way to get in while only 18. But once in, they find a way to get somebody that is 21 (and therefore legal to purchase drinks) to get drinks for them. Very much like Iowa City. My son works in one of the restaurant/bars in the campustown area (Green Street) and went on a bar-crawl earlier this week with a bunch of co-workers (and more than a couple were under 21) so they obviously are not very deligent in enforcing the rules.

They just look at your id, if its horizontal, u get booze, if not, u still get in and find someone that buys you booze

Indiana/Tennessee were collectively called Transylvania before they became states. I don't remember the exact reason they changed the name but there was once a plan for the region to become one big state called Transylvania. Is it bad that I know this? I think I need to stop watching public television documentaries.

I have no doubts the US would be a more civically engaged nation and smarter (albeit marginally) if public television were the only thing to watch. My favorite public television show has to be "Nature." I grew up watching that show ... and "Marty Stouffer's Wild America."
Edit: Although, we might also be nerdier if public tv was the only option....
