Ok Golfers in Central Iowa, is there any decent places to get a driver re-shafted in the Des Moines area?
I have always used Kinley's for that in the past, but they don't have a lot of shaft options and their club guy is good, but can be hard to deal with as a customer sometimes.
I don't like Golf Galaxy
a. They don't carry enough shaft options, especially in X.
b. They only have a couple guys I would trust to touch my clubs, and it seems like they are always helping people hit irons into their 'simulators'.
c. In general, the store always seems understaffed, dirty, and unorganized.
Don't know much about Golf Headquarters...
Anyone know of a good place for club work?

I might be wrong, but you could probably buy a shaft online and take it there to have it installed. You can also check the yellow pages/craigs list etc to find a local person who does custom club repair.
I've had good luck with these people in the past because they do it as a hobby and are willing to work with you to get exactly what you want.
Finally, you could go to an upscale golf course and talk to the pro. Usually they have contacts (i.e. the person who built their clubs) that they're more than happy to put you in touch with.
I am sure any of those places could get the shaft you want if you requested it. It may take some research online. Check out golfsmith, find what you want and tell them that's what you want. I would deal with Golf Galaxy myself. It's a shame there isn't a Golfsmith in the area.
Yes.... get a golfworks catalog or go on their website. They have just about every shaft you can imagine on there. Order it from them and then take it to whoever you want to have it put in. No worries.
