    Welcome to Ames...where they have their heads up their a**es. Ames pushes for businesses to go out there even though it floods every summer. The new aquatic center was built in a flood plain also.

    The trailer park behind it got nailed so I'm guessing they at least took some water in the parking lot. In the pic below it's the little building with the dark roof just above the trailer park.

    The Ames planners certainly have their heads up their ***** to allow development in the south Duff area. It doesn't take a lot of brains to see that if you build up an area and put a building on it that displacement of the water will make it higher for your neighbors! If I were Target I would sue the city and Wal-mart for damages.
