Welcome to Ames...where they have their heads up their a**es. Ames pushes for businesses to go out there even though it floods every summer. The new aquatic center was built in a flood plain also.

It doesn't take a lot of brains to see that if you build up an area and put a building on it that displacement of the water will make it higher for your neighbors!
