Does anyone know of anything that works or at least helps to control mosquitoes? I've never seen them this bad. We have tiger mosquitoes this year, too. The yard has been sprayed twice with Ortho Max. That didn't seem to phase them.
We live in the country. The back yard is edged with woods and Squaw creek. There is a stand of old Oak trees and grassland to the south and a corn field to the north. There is standing water everywhere.

i used to leave my bug zapper on at night for a week straight before i started having my hookah nights in my backyard, illinois is flooded with mosquitos but i never gotten bitten and saw a pile of dead mosquitos on the floor.
Have you looked at a Mosquito vacuum. I have heard good things about them but never have tried one. They have one on sale at Menards for $50 this week, but my store was out of them already this morning. They use LP to generate CO2 to draw the pests in and then suck them into a container with a fan.

I am surrounded by trees and gullies living up on the bluff of the Platte River. It took me 4 bottles to do my entire yard and sprayed all the tree and bushes in the gullies, about 600' of edge along the gullies.
