What would Greg Giraldo do without all of these Comedy Central roasts?
Trying hard to remember when Gilbert "had it." Was this around the Problem Child years or his cameo on The Adventures of Ford Fairlane?
If getting paid millions of dollars to put the same show on the air three times, with the first one basically just being a rip-off of other shows to begin with, and getting paid to do appearances as a smug, smart-*** caricature of myself is sucking at life, I wish I sucked a little more.
My favorites were Gottfried, Giraldo, the pale brunette chick (she surprised the hell out of me, she had some of the best jokes), and Lisa.
I think Gottfried did in fact tail out at the end after watching a 2nd time but he started off with, I think, the funniest jokes of the entire evening, with his delivery of them being equally as good. That brunette chick was surprisingly hilarious though, I didn't even know who the heck she was!
Jerry Springer proved that he should never do another roast, his only good joke was when he said "Hasselhoff, you've never been in anything good... except Pam Anderson." And that joke is very average when compared to all the other ones of the night.
Gilbert Gottfried is mildly humorous at times, but I can only remember him being really funny one time, and he ripped off Penn & Teller and benefited from contestant stupidity in the process.
