Wouldn't the Blue on that "Sloth" map indicate that they are a standard deviation away from the mean? Meaning they aren't lazy, and the rest of Iowa (all tan) is lazier?

I fully admit I could be way off on this, but that was my take.

You might be right...I may have misinterpreted it.

Blue is (-) standard deviations (ie. less than the average). Red is (+) standard deviations (ie. more than the average or "bad").

It WOULD be a K-State study. I call ******** that Las Vegas isn't a national hotspot for lust.

I'd imagine the whole country would be red if it were a global map. But there isn't much standard deviation within the US in regard to skinnier parts of the country.
