While I would try to keep Fitzgerald, there is no guarantee that Leinert can get him the ball as consistently as Warner did.

He will still throw some INT's but he'll also throw for a lot of yards and TD's. I'd keep Fitz if I we're you.

I like it. I don't trust the Arizona Quarterbacks to get the ball to fitzgerald. Plus Shiancoe is targeted in the redzone quite often with brett is qb.

Houston led the league in passing last year and I expect that Schaub might be even better this year.

thoughts? Depends on your leagues scoring. Is it a ppr league? What is a passing TD worth vs a rec TD?
Personally, if it's a ppr league, I keep Fitz. Also, last season, good TE's were fairly plentiful. Shiancoe loses some value based on that.

Re: In need of a little fantasy football expertise..
basically any te other than the top 3 (clark, witten, gates) are interchangeable. you can't tell me anyone expected vernon davis to lead fantasy te's a year ago. i don't get the involvement of the 2 tes in the trade. i will only be drafting 1 te this year and it will be my 3rd to last pick(obviously d/st and k will be the last 2). so looking at it this way you are trading fitz and jacobs for schaub. jacobs is worn out and bradshaw CLEARLY looks like the better RB in new york right now. fitz scares me(got dinged up the other night, plus who knows what leinart will do). leinart and fitz have never put up decent numbers without the help of boldin-read TMRoto's 100 facts page and it is very alarming leinarts and fitz stats together.
that said, you would be giving up a virtual lock 2nd rnder in fitz for at best a 3rd rnder in schaub. i can't imagine him going even in the 3rd in my league but probably on avg he is.
i don't know if i'd do it unless you dropped the tes off the trade and the other guy at least included a rb to make it a 2 player for 2 player deal

Re: In need of a little fantasy football expertise..
Personally, I would take the Fitzgerald side all day. If Schaub stays healthy I think he will outscore Cutler, but last season was the first time in his career that Schaub stayed healthy for 16 games. I think Cutler will improve this season. I don't think he can be worse than last season, especially in Martz's system. Fitzgerald, regardless of QB situation, is pretty much a lock to be a top 10 WR.

Re: In need of a little fantasy football expertise..
With Farve back, I'd be more inclined to take Shiancoe. And like someone else said, how well do you think whoever the cards qb is will get it to Fitz?

Re: In need of a little fantasy football expertise..
If it were me I would pull the trigger on that trade:
Matt Schaub has Andre Johnson who is coming off his 2nd consecutive 1500 yard season
Do you trust Matt Leinart to get the ball to Fitzgerald in double-coverage (as Boldin is gone)?
Shiancoe thrived under Favre last year and could see similar numbers.

I agree. I say do it. I don't trust Leinart at all. Shiancoe should have another good season. Schaub has 4 great targets in Johnson, Walter, Jones, and Daniels.

Re: In need of a little fantasy football expertise..
I wouldnt be surprised if Derek Anderson starts the season in AZ. If he doesnt I wil be surprised if Leinart is still starting after week 6.
