ISU Vanity License Plates

So I just ordered some ISU Vanity Plates. I was wondering how long has everyone had to wait before they are at your county offices? Thanks!

SIDE NOTE: If you have vanity plates...what did you put on them? I ordered "WOOT4CY"

Pretty fast, maybe two-three weeks?

Edit: Whatever it was.. I just remember it being WAY faster than the form stated.

I applied for vanity plates in WY and they said 4-6 weeks.

That's what I heard for these too officially but the guy at the DOT thought it would maybe be sooner. Hope so.

So if I wanted ISU plates but didn't want to have a customized saying, could I still get a general ISU plate? I've seen ISU plates that just ISU and then a four digit number. They look like randomly assigned numbers, but I'm not sure if they are or not. I want ISU plates but I can't think of anything to put on them that isn't already taken, or won't sound dumb.

I ordered mine in Scott Co and it took a few weeks to get here. I don't remember exactly how long as it was a few years ago now, but it was not quick.

I had ISU vanity plates on my car...had to take them off. I was tired of my car getting nailed in parking lots. I guess that is one of the disadvantages of living and having a job in Iowa City. :(

Not to hijack the thread, but in Indiana they don't have front plates. I wanted to get one of the ISU plates (not DOT issued, just the fun ones). I really like the look of the etched pewter ones, but can only find it with the old swirly bird. I love the new swirly bird and would buy that in a heart beat, or the I-State but can't find them. Anybody know where I could? Or what I'm talking about?
