so 4 years of dodging Ohio State.. got it. And you wonder why people call you the Fake ID... you dodged the best team in the conference for 4 YEARS.

Well we played them in 2013 and play them this year so they were off Iowa's schedule for 3 seasons (2014, 2015 and 2016). And in those 3 seasons, OSU won 1 B1G championship so it is debatable that they were the best team in the conference those 3 years.

That must not have been the year when KF could have tried to win the game in regulation to win the B1G by only needing a FG, but sat on the ball with over a minute left obviously. That would have been my guess as the last time they played Ohio State.

That was in 2009 but your recollection of the game is way off.

That was 2009, when Iowa was undefeated until Stanzi went down against Wisconsin and Iowa lost 17-10. The next week Iowa went to the Shoe and that was the game you are thinking of. Iowa and OSU then went to the wire again in 2010 and lost to Terrell Pryor and OSU at the end.

I'm not trying to pick a fight or defend Iowa against the likes of Colin Cowherd. Honestly, Iowa getting free pub from Cowherd makes me laugh. The question was asked when Iowa last played OSU. I answered. You do realize that Iowa doesn't control the B1G schedule? Of course, it is all a conspiracy against Iowa State by making Iowa look good with an easy conference schedule, I forgot.

Here's a pretty good read on why SF traded up for CJB.

http://www.ninersnation.com/2017/4/...an-cj-beathard-49ers-qb-coach-private-workout

Lots of variables played into it. Iowa's pro-style system was part of it, and they recognized the severe lack of WRs he had last year and dealing with targets who couldn't separate. Liked his toughness, leadership, and accuracy and gave a good breakdown of what they mean by accuracy beyond completion %. He'll be number 3 QB to start and they look forward to developing him.

He can't play.

They won a national title in those 3 years... are you really that stupid? oh and the year you went 12-0... who the hell did you beat? then got EXPOSED by Stanford. McCaffery is still running.

Agreed, OSU was definitely the best team in the B1G in 2014 when they won conference and national titles. To claim they were the best team in 2015 or 2016 is debatable because they didn't even win their division those years.

Iowa beat 10 P5 teams (if you consider ISU a P5 team that is)

Illinois st.
@ ISU
Pitt (8 win Bowl team)
N. Texas
@ Wisconsin (10 win top 25 team)
Illinois
@ Northwestern (10 win top 25 team)
Maryland
@ Indiana (Bowl team)
Minnesota (Bowl team)
Purdue
@ Nebraska (Bowl team, but it was BS with only 5 wins)

Nearly every team gets exposed. In 2015 every last Big12 team was exposed
-OU was exposed by Clemson, and a bad Texas team
-Oklahoma St was exposed 3 weeks in a row by Baylor, OU and Ole Miss,
-Baylor was exposed by a bad Texas team
-TCU was exposed by Oklahoma St

Plus ISU was exposed nearly every week of the year. So if you understood football you would understand that nearly every team, even the top ones get exposed.

Iowa beat 10 P5 teams (if you consider ISU a P5 team that is) Well last i checked the Big 12 was a power 5 conference so...

Illinois st.
@ ISU No Bowl
Pitt (8 win Bowl team) Lost to OSU
N. Texas No Bowl
@ Wisconsin (10 win top 25 team) Beat USC
Illinois No Bowl
@ Northwestern (10 win top 25 team) Lost to Tennessee
Maryland No Bwol
@ Indiana (Bowl team) Lost to Duke
Minnesota (Bowl team)Beat Central Michigan
Purdue No Bowl
@ Nebraska (Bowl team, but it was BS with only 5 wins)

Nearly every team gets exposed. In 2015 every last Big12 team was exposed
-OU was exposed by Clemson, and a bad Texas team BC Bowl
-Oklahoma St was exposed 3 weeks in a row by Baylor, OU and Ole Miss- OU Went to the CFP... Baylor was a 10 win team.
-Baylor was exposed by a bad Texas team- Baylor was starting a WR at QB that game.. what the hell do you expece?
-TCU was exposed by Oklahoma St-TCU won 11 games... OSU won 10... that is a horrible argument.

Plus ISU was exposed nearly every week of the year. So if you understood football you would understand that nearly every team, even the top ones get exposed.

So you beat 2 bowl teams. Half the teams on your schedule did not go to a bowl game, and you played an FCS Team. do better.

I saw one of those idiotic Hawkeye FB pages put this out and at the bottom put Iowa State has had only 4 players drafted in the last 7 years. It would still be lopsided, but can you at least compare us under the same criteria and time frame?

Iowa does what most of P5 teams do. Play 9 or 10 P5 schools.

In the regular season, Iowa played a FCS school, 2 MAC level schools and 6 P5 bowl teams in 2015.

-Baylor played an FCS school, 2 MAC level schools, and 6 P5 bowl teams

-Oklahoma St. played a FCS school, 2 MAC schools and 6 P5 bowl teams

-K-State played a FCS school, 2 MAC schools and 6 P5 bowl teams

Washington made the playoffs in 2016 by playing a FCS school a MAC level school and 4 P5 bowl teams in the regular season.

If Iowa would have beaten MSU, they would have made the playoffs as well, so basically they schedule just fine according to those who know college football. It only bothers ISU trolls and the troll Cowherd.
