He’d looked real bad his last few public appearances. Very sad, went to his concert at the State Fair 4-5 years ago and it was a good time. Seems like a real fun time.

I think he was on the sideline our last game down in Norman. He looked like hell.

Was a huge fan of his as a kid. Came to our county fair one year. Great show. Not a great way to start my day.

I had a Toby Keith phase a long time ago, I think everyone growing up in rural America at the same time I was did.

Been awhile since I've seen him but I hadn't heard that he was doing that bad again.

He was absolutely killing it post 9/11. He really leaned into the pro-America stance and people latched on. I'm not a country guy, but even I was a fan of a lot of his music in the 2000's. Seemed like a good dude, too.
