Makes one wonder what we could have done against Illinois if we didn’t trap all the time and let the rapist go off on us early and often with wide open 3’s.

The defense was not the problem Thursday. Unless you are saying Iowa State would have scored more than 6 points in the first 10 minutes by changing the defense they ran all year.

Timeout so Brad Underwood can take his shirt off and spray his team with a water gun to wake them up.

Uconn is just having fun at this point.

I think a normal representation of our teams is ISU is probably about 10 points better than Ill, and I think Uconn is just 20-50 points better than everyone else.
so either way we would have hit a wall tonight.

I wouldn’t judge on this game. We might have kept it within 30 by playing better transition D and slowing the pace. But it still would have been a rout

The elite 8 is an honor to be a part of, but maybe ISU just found its silver lining in that Illinois loss.

I’d rather lose by 3 to the B1G tourney champs and a 3 seed than lose by 50 to UConn.

there's a way to beat uconn, Creighton blew them out
Yeah at home and shooting out of their minds. Neutral court? Not going to happen. Home court is so massive. UConn didn’t look good at Allen Fieldhouse and if they would have played us in Hilton I think we may have won. But that’s solely home court advantage.

It’s hard to imagine a scenario where you’d rather lose a close game in the Sweet Sixteen rather than make it to the Elite Eight and get beaten badly. We might have seen that unimaginable line crossed tonight…. maybe. I can’t imagine saying that but watching Illinois getting castrated live on TV looks like Saw X.
