MANAKIN-SABOT, Va.- Iowa State junior golfer Nate McCoy is tied for first after two rounds of the VCU Shootout on Monday. McCoy carded rounds of 69-68 to post a 7-under par 137 tally, tying for first with Harold Varner of East Carolina. The Cyclones are in ninth place as a team. The Cyclones shot a 298 in round one and a 290 in round two, totaling a 588 two-round total. North Carolina-Wilmington is the team leader at 564.
