AMES, Iowa—The No.25 Iowa State gymnastics team had to count a fall on balance beam, but the Cyclones did not let it derail them as they went on to score a season-best tally of 49.175 on floor on the next rotation. Iowa State's floor effort propelled the Cyclones to their season-best score of 195.375. No. 5 Oklahoma still proved to be too much, totaling its highest team tally of 2011 at 197.225 to win the Big 12 Conference competition Friday in Hilton Coliseum.
