AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Associate Athletic Director for Athletics Training Mark Coberley will receive the Head Athletics Trainer-of-the-Year Award Tuesday from the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) at its annual meeting in New Orleans. That is the short of it. The long of it is that the award is the latest affirmation of Coberley's excellence as an athletic trainer, administrator, educator and mentor. Such are the qualities Coberley demonstrates every day in a career path that began while he was still in high school.
