Cyclones Close Regular Season At Missouri Friday
AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State soccer team concludes its regular season Friday at a Missouri in a match that could have huge Big 12 Championship ramifications. The 6:30 p.m. CDT match at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Field will likely play a significant role in deciding the final team to earn a berth to the Big 12 Championship. Iowa State and Oklahoma are currently tied for the final bid to the tournament, with Oklahoma holding the tie-breaker with a victory over the Cyclones on Oct. 14. An Iowa State victory over Missouri and Oklahoma either losing or drawing at Kansas will see the Cyclones into the Big 12 Championship. If Iowa State ties Missouri, the Cyclones would need the Sooners to lose at Kansas. No scenario exists for Iowa State to advance if the Cyclones lose or the Sooners win.
