AMES, Iowa – Iowa State's Danielle Frere will be competing in the women's shot put at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this week at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Frere, a redshirt junior, placed eighth at the NCAA West Regional last week, in which she threw 53-8 ½.
