AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State Athletics Department's combined academic (graduation rate) and competitive (Directors' Cup) success from last year ranked the University 13th among the nation's BCS schools and best in the Big 12. The only schools ranked ahead of the Cyclones were Stanford, Duke, Cal, Virginia, North Carolina, Penn State, UCLA, USC, Ohio State, Washington, Minnesota and Florida.
