Because managers or any coach for that matter are hired to be fired. Unless you have a Bobby Cox, which is a very rare case, the manager will always be fired eventually.

I can say it since I'm a Pirates fan. My wife is from the Pittsburgh area and we usually go visit her family in October. Just got back, in fact. Unless we go during the summer, I'll probably never see a game at PNC Park.
