    Isn't King Felix a FA?

Ryan isnt one of the big pocket books in the ownership group. dont get me wrong he is a big name and has plenty invested and a great face of the franchise, but there are some guys behind the scenes with some real deep pocket books. we will be relying on these guys more than Ryan to increase our payroll. they are the same guys that just kept increasing their numbers the night of the auction. and many people, myself included, didnt realize just how much these few men were willing to put up.

i understand arbitration and how it all works. i stand by my point that we need to lock in Elvis long term rather than 1 or 2 years of avoiding arbitration. we need to give him 7+ years. and i'm hoping we get that done before the 2012 season. or at least before jeter retires and the yankees come lurching.

If it makes the Yankees look bad, I'm all for it. Keep Yapping Swisher. I don't like a lot about baseball anymore, but one thing I love is the fact that Money doesn't always buy you Championships. One thing I've always said about Baseball, it's about a cohesive team playing loose and having fun. When players start yapping, it's usually the first sign that you are not having fun.
