You know we would have shown off Jerry Jones' toy and the new Meadowlands stadium. Heck they would have tried Yankee Stadium I bet.

There were 18 cities included in the bid, but they would have had to narrow down the list before 2022 obviously. Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, LA, Miami, Nashville, New York/NJ, Philly, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa, and Washington DC were the 18.

In Qatar, drunkenness is punishable by execution, homosexuality is forbidden, and you can be jailed for PDA.

Yep that pretty much sums it up, oil money and nothing else. way to go FIFA pick the most polluted country in the world, a country with less than 2 million people, and average highs of around 110 degrees. Over the worlds biggest economy with many airports to fly into or you could go with Australia which has over 20 million people. way to go FIFA. -

If it were football NFL style I would be outragged. We set attendance RECORDS for the World Cup in 1994 here. C'mon man..
"Average attendance was nearly 69,000, which broke records that had stood since the 1950 World Cup, because of the bigger capacities of the American stadiums compared to those of Europe and Latin America. The total attendance of nearly 3.6 million for the final tournament remains the highest in World Cup history, despite the expansion of the competition from 24 to 32 teams (and from 52 to 64 matches) in the 1998 World Cup." 1994 FIFA World Cup - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia -

Re: World Cup announcement
good luck with safety issues in Qatar. It is a very likely scenario that some of the Western teams won't show up. Qatar is also a known allies of Iran. That should go well.
The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.
