He did. He was just a terrible coach. Her brought a lot of talent in.

That's why he had to be fired. Someone who is having a bad year and knows it can be helped. Someone in denial is irreparable.

A coach starting a 41-year old qb without developing a back-up thinking he's doing a good job shows Chilldress for the fool he really is.

I wasn't thrilled with Mike Tice as head coach previously, but I was much more relieved when Chilly was fired than when Tice was dumped.

Last year was lightning in a bottle. I had high hopes for the team led by Favre, but absolutely nobody could have predicted Favre would have had likely the strongest season of his career at 40.

Chilly's arrogance & ignorance will not be missed by me.

PS. I am not looking forward to the next few years as a Vikings fan. With the way the organization has spent money trying to get immediate results, I feel like we are the second coming of the Daniel Snyder owned Redskins.

I disagree. Nail down the QB position, whether via free agency or through the draft, and Minnesota is right back up there as a contender. The O-line is aging in spots, but is still serviceable. The rest of the team is full of younger talent. Greenway, Peterson, Rice, Harvin, Shiancoe, Allen, Griffin, Williams, Henderson, Edwards, Robison, to name a few. All 30 or younger. The window is definitely open for this team if they can solve the QB situation.

Vikings have a ton more talent and potential then before Childress arrived. I think his statement on the surface is correct. I didn't read the article to see what other items he stated. But i think the Vikes are much better than before he came.
