Lots of talk up here right now about there being a solid coating of ice between the turf and the snow they are removing. There was also another tip to KFAN about the ice removal possibly damaging the turf, seems like there is quite a bit to go before playing at TCF is a done deal. There was also another panel that gave way in the dome yesterday.
The U of Minn is confident the field will be ready. They said that there will be heaters and a tarp on the field on Saturday to Monday night.
It is sounding more likely tonight then it was earlier today. Granted, I am only getting my info from the news and sports radio up here but...it sounds like a lot of the concerns were from the Bears trying to make sure the game wouldn't be held in MN. Though at dinner tonight there were a few Vikings players complaining about what it could be like with -18 wind chill Monday night.
