Amateur goalie plays one night for 'Yotes
Well, not actually plays, but participated in warmups and sat on the bench as the backup. Pretty great story either way. Phoenix's starter came down with the flu right before the game in New York against the Rangers, meaning the Coyotes didn't have time to bring up a goaltender from the farm team. The scouting staff went scouring the area for an amateur goalie, found a 26-year-old goalie coach (who went 1-12-0 in his last college season), signed him to a contract, and suited him up. Can't beat that holiday story. Amateur goalie Tom Fenton suits up with Phoenix Coyotes at MSG - ESPN
Not the first time this has happened - I know Vancouver and Washington have had similar ordeals in the past decade or so.

Great story about the greatest winter-time sport.

This is nothing. The Vikings called me the other day and ask me to come play QB because Tavaras and Brett were both hurt. I declined so they signed Patrick Ramsey. He was there 100th option.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.
