Need camera recommendation
I need a recommendation for a new camera. I only want to spend around $150 and I need a fast shutter speed. My current camera requires that you hold the button halfway down and then push to take a picture. The pictures always turn out blurry if there is the subject is moving at all.
Re: Need camera recommendation
I'm pretty sure most (if not all) new camera's with autofocus require that you press the shutter button halfway to begin focusing, and then all the way once it has focused to take the picture.

Re: Need camera recommendation
The camera recommendation all depends on the intended purpose - what type of photos will you be taking?
Also, study your camera's manual. We find in our workshops that many people think they have an old/crappy camera that wont' do what they want - yet in a number of cases it's all about how it's being used.
For those that want a higher end point-n-shoot with DSLR-like abilities/features - I highly recommend the Canon G-series cameras. Down from there, many of the PowerShots are great cameras.

She puts up with you all year and all you got her was a camera? Wow, she could do better.

I knew there was a reason I shouldn't like you. ;)
At least you're paying attention to the correct zoom specifications. Optical zoom > digital zoom.
