Sorry if this was already posted, but reading the Denver Post this morning I found out that John Fox was once a defensive backs coach at Iowa State. Pretty cool. It looks like it was in the early 80s.
Anyone remember much about those teams?
Also, he took his future wife to an Iowa State home game ... I wonder if she tailgated?

Just read this article. Fox seems like a good guy, and he did some good things at Carolina. I think he's a good fundamental NFL coach who hasn't been helped by his owners in recent years...should be successful eventually in Denver, especially against the competition in their division (Oakland as bottom-feeders, SD may be on their way down a bit).
The real question is, who hasn't coached at ISU some time during their life? And, why have none of these coaches stayed to become our head coach? I mean, really, with all of these guys having lived in Ames, how has one of them not become ISU's version of JoePa? I love CPR, but some of these guys are Hall-of-Famers.
My first ISU basketball game - Fred Hoiberg was on the court.
My first ISU football game - Paul Rhoads was on the sidelines.
But they hadn't yet reached their full potential.
SO PROUD that things have come full circle. #cyclONEnation
