    This could be great news for the Cubs. I know they are paying part of his 2011 contract. If he's in jail the contract could be voided.

    Are you sure? Seattle actually sent money to Chicago in the trade.

    According to sources familiar with the deal, the Mariners will send about $3 million to the Cubs in 2010 and about $6 million in 2011.

    After taking both players' contracts into account, the Cubs will receive $6 million from the Mariners in addition to Silva.
    Not sure which figure is correct, but either way It's Seattle that's paying.

    I doubt Bradley's contract gets voided unless he did something really bad. If it gets voided only because of some threats, the player's union will be all over it.
