Cutler tears MCL
Jay Cutler reportedly tore MCL in loss to Green Bay Packers - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
I wonder if those that called this injury fake will offer an apology. Jason Whitlock should be the first to do so.

Too bad for him, laughing even harder now at the "fans" that called him a sissy and blamed the loss on him.

Torn knee or not, I still don't like him.

Now they're saying it was just a MCL sprain.

Re: Cutler tears MCL
While he was ripped for not playing while injured (particularly being compared to Philip Rivers that one year he tore his ACL), I think the bigger thing he was being ripped for was his apparent disinterested attitude on the sidelines. The guy was walking up and down the sidelines (as if he wasn't injured), apparently not vocally supporting his teammates. Perhaps he is "that" injured and deserves an apology. But for the most part Cutler has made his own bed and has this reputation for a reason.

He was horrible while he was playing healthy in the first half. I pin the loss more on the offense as a whole and the horrible play calling/coaching by Martz.
However, Cutler dint show much character by just standing around and watching. I didn't see one time where he talked to/helped/offered pointers to Collins/Hanie like any other starting QB in the NFL would have done in any game, let alone the NFC Championship.

I mean, Fox had the "Cutler cam" running that showed him the entire game - and followed him into the lockerroom at halftime. With Cutler being on TV 100% of the broadcast, no way he could have every said anything to Collins, Hanie or another teammate.

Re: Cutler tears MCL
So do people really think that he was disinterested from first hand knowledge, or just what the guy who directed the telecast wanted you to see. From a stand point of what makes interesting TV, I would only show Cutler when he is sitting or not talking. He is already a villain, if he was supporting his teammates what good does it do you until the bears are winning. Until then the announcers can build around the story that cutler is giving up.
Just a thought that I had.

I have never once witnessed a game on TV where and injured QB is standing on the sideline looking as uninterested as Cutler did yesterday. I cant recall a time where an injured QB was not shown once helping out his backups.
You're right, maybe Fox painted that picture and didn't show him when he was helping them, but the chances that it didn't happen are much greater, and if you think otherwise than you dont pay attention much...
