Publicity stunt to get the fans on the NFL's side and make the players look greedy.
It's all publicity on both sides. Every time someone "lets it slip" that they're preparing for a work stoppage, it's purely for PR's sake. It might even be true, but they're only saying it in public to make sure everyone hears it.
"What a horrible night to have a curse."
-Simon Belmont
"Please bury me with all my stuff, because you know it's mine..."
-Master Shake
"Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood."
Publicity stunt. The guy is worth multi-millions, and I'm sure the guy has enough hedge funds and other savings that I think he'll be able to live comfortably on his $1 salary...
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

No one cares what the owners say or what the players say..... They are both a group of privileged millionaires who are fighting over the fan's money. They need to agree and they both need to shut up. I've always liked college football more than the NFL......I really don't care if they strike for 5 years....
I'm completely with the players on this. Adding two extra games is absurd and the health care/pension available to players after they retire is laughable.
"Karl Malone love making up jokes. Karl Malone always say, 'laughter is the best Mexican.' "

But, but Goodell cares about their health. Just look at all the new rules he added midseason!
I think Goodell is quickly wearing out his welcome as commisioner, never really been a fan of this guy.

Why is 5 years of free healthcare "laughable" for a person that is most likely a millionaire before they are 30?.... College players are exposed to the same kind of injury and they get nothing but a diploma. My two tickets to the Broncos/Chiefs game cost $275 for upper deck corner seats.......why should they cost $375 next fall? You do understand who ultimately pays for the raises don't you?
