I said the exact same thing to my wife.

    Mine went like this.

"God she has gotten ugly, she apparently can't sing either, I bet she screws this thing up". And about 10 seconds later she did.

I wish they would just hire some chorus group from one of the branches of the military and let them sing it like it is meant to be sung. I enjoy listening to it when sung right but celebrities have butchered it so bad over the last 30+ years that it has turned into a ******* match of how many notes you can hit while singing it.

    Re: National Anthem

The melody of the anthem was ripped from an old drinking tune.

I'm totally on board with America the Beautiful being the National Anthem. Probably never happen, but I would support it.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection.

Yeah, that came off as a little sancitimonious, not to mention the NFL prohibited the NFLPA from airing a commercial, telling their side of the upcoming labor dispute.

    Re: National Anthem

National Anthem was bad, but I think the halftime show was even worse. Talk about a bunch of no talent singers. Slash was the only who was tolerable and he didn't open his mouth. I will admit i don't know much about the Black Eye Peas, but I figured with the amount of awards they have won of the past couple years that would have had some talent.

Should have brough The Who back again.

    Re: National Anthem

Bad night for music all around. Perhaps Ashlee Simpson and Milli Vanilli had the right idea...
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
