So glad this is over. This story was really becoming annoying.

Denver absolutely killed in this deal. Don't know what the Knicks were thinking.

Re: Melo to the Knicks
As a Sixers fan I am not really worried. Carmelo can't/doesn't play D. He scores 30, but he also gives up 30.

Anyone know the specifics of the trade?

Re: Melo to the Knicks
The only part I don't like is getting rid of Felton. He was turning into a good point guard

Re: Melo to the Knicks
All their games will be over a hundred.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

At this point it takes at least two great players to win a championship. It's much easier to get five decent role players than 2 of the league's best, especially to get them to come to Denver.

Along with Melo and Balkman, the Knicks also get Anthony Carter and Sheldon Williams. Anthony Randolph and Eddie Curry are headed to Minnesota along with the $3 million.
The Knicks panicked and gave up too much. Why give up all that when Carmelo probably would have signed there this summer anyway. D'Antoni's offense needs a quality pg to succeed and if the cap comes down as is expected this summer they won't have room to go after paul or deron williams next summer. Carmelo's not going to get NYK past the second round of the playoffs.

The only team Melo wanted to go to was NY, don't know why they gave up so much.
And Carmelo isn't a great player, I think he's highly overrated.

Re: Melo to the Knicks
None of those draft picks have much value. Felton is overrated unless he is in D'antoni's system, Mozgoz and Gallinari are unproven young players who won't be able to lead a team in the near future, and Wilson Chandler is an exciting bench player on a contender. Carter, Williams, and Curry are useless while Randolph is similar to Chandler.
