Another reason the Packers are the greatest sports franchise in the world: They're non-profit and don't have an owner begging for another billion dollars and locking players out to get it.

So I guess they can just sit and play with themselves
This seems to be going a little far. The players union (or "players trade association" I should say) isn't going to win to many sympathy points for this move.
You know I really don't care. Billionares fighting with Millionares just doesn't give me much sympathy. The whole league is overpriced at all levels the way it is.
Yeah, there's not really a good guy in this fight. Neither are going to get much sympathy with the economy the way it for normal middle class Americans.
But they will get it worked out before next season.

I sympathize their want for long-term health care after retirement, especially considering these guys destroy their bodies so their owners can make hundreds of millions of dollars off of them, as well as sympathize that the owners want to expand the season to 18 games, which would further expose them to devastating injury without further compensation. And I also understand their complaint that the NFL owners "just aren't making enough money" when they won't show the union their complete books.
That being said, as has often been said, overall I just have problems sympathizing when millionaires can't agree with billionaires on how to "fairly" split up tens of billions of dollars.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
