I get the feeling that the Cavs take Williams. He's cocky. He said he should go #1 because he has more star quality, and then he compared himself to LeBron James. Dan Gilbert is cocky and may go with this guy, because he knows he can get a decent PG with that #4 spot
I like Williams over Irving just because he has the track record and the talent. With Irving playing so little, it's all upside and not much productivity. I'm not crazy about Kanter, but I think they could grab Knight at #4. Best option for a long term rebuilding project like they are? Grab Williams or Irving and then try to trade down a few spots for a future #1. If they trade and manage to stay in the top ten, they might still be able to grab Knight or Walker at PG.
I don't think Walker is going to be very good in the NBA. Short, volume shooter PGs usually don't succeed in the NBA. I think his best case scenario is as a poor man's Ben Gordon coming off of the bench.
Think about this for a second. If the Cleveland Cavaliers had gotten the 1st and 4th overall picks in the 2003 draft, they would have drafted.......Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. That's crazy to think about. A dynasty from the start that would have been
Too bad this draft is one of the weakest in years. Irving didn't even play a full season in his one year in college. Williams and Kemba Walker are solid but after that it's a joke of a draft.
They should pick Enes Kanter and Kemba Walker. Kemba will do okay because he has a big heart to win. He has already proven he is heads and shoulders above the best college competition.
I loved Kemba as a college player, I'm just not sure will have a #1 pick type of impact in the pros. I think he can score, I'm just not sure about the rest of his game. His biggest plus is that he improved every year at UCONN and I don't see that changing as he heads to the NBA.
I would like to see a #2 for Iguodala or a Varajeao and #4 for Iguodala trade. Any chance?
Maybe a Iguodala to Minny for the #2 is possible as Minny doesn't really need any more young guys, but then what do the Wolves do with Wes as he plays SF too? I don't think you are going to get your wish.
Same with the #4 overall + Varajeao for Iggy. He has 3 years and $42 million left so his contract is too high to get that kind of value in return for him.
