    All-time NBA team

So, the Shaq being the greatest center debate got me to thinking what everyone would have as their all-time NBA team. Mine would look like this...

    PG- Magic Johnson
    SG- Michael Jordan
SF- Larry Bird (Im sure the LeBron lovers will jump me for that one)
    PF- Tim Duncan
    C- Shaq

    Re: All-time NBA team

I think by the end of LeBron's career he will jump Bird, but IMO not yet.

C is going to be a tossup between Shaq, Kareem, Wilt, and Russell. Personally I'd go with Shaq.

Are we just putting the best player all time at each position or are we trying to build the best team ever?

I would say best team ever. Also, I would have Phil Jackson as the coach because of the way he has handled big ego's

The all-time best "I've got no rings" team:

    PG: John Stockton
SG: Gary Payton (I know he's technically a PG, I'm just having problems coming up with a SG on the fly)
    SF: Charles Barkley
    PF: Karl Malone
    C: Patrick Ewing

Doesn't Payton have a ring from Miami in 06?

That actually does work better than Payton - thanks.

Pistol Pete or George Gervin could fill in at the 2.
