Chiefs' Charles tears ACL, now in the Luck sweepstakes?

Sweepstakes would imply some sort of contest. After what I have seen the last two weeks, I don't think there is any sort of competition for worst team in the NFL. I think the Chiefs have this locked down.

So, was it Pioli's choice to sit on all that cap space instead of signing some much needed help in the offseason? Or is Clark Hunt being cheap to blame? Can't believe how bad an offseason they had. Oh, and it looks like Haley's unique pre-season strategy was a huge mistake.

As bad as the chiefs have been this year, I would have been more worried that the mascot didn't suffer a season ending injury on that play as well.

Slightly off the subject but how in the world did the Chiefs make the playoffs last year??

This team has 0-16 potential.

Easiest schedule in the NFL. All of their wins were against teams with a losing record. That said I don't by Clark Hunt's cheapness. I think with the team they had they were looking at spending quite a bit of money on future players giving them nice contracts.

But after watching Cassel with no Jamaal Charles...get Luck!

Vikes are in there, too. They forgot that there is 4 quarters in a game and not just 2.

The contest will be between the Chiefs and the Colts. Remember, the Chiefs do get to play the Broncos twice, so there are two wins right there! The Colts just look lost without Manning.

Ha have you seen the Chiefs play this year? They aren't going to beat the Broncos twice, they really could go 0-16.

And if they get the number pick they have to take Luck, he's one of those guys you don't pass on and the NFL's a QB league, you're never going to win a title with Cassel, he might get you to the playoffs, but he won't win a Super Bowl.

Agreed. I watched pretty much all of the Arizona - Stanford game on Saturday night and Luck just has everything you would ever want in a QB. He lost his top WR and top TE and the offense didn't lose a beat. He's the most NFL ready QB since Manning.
