What makes fan a "true" fan?
People like teams from all over the country and some don't have a direct association with a certain team.
Is it material, time, loyalty, etc.?
I've always been curious with this question.
*This is more directed at a professional sport aspect, rather than college.
Not a cooling fan either. A sports fan.

I think it has something to do with not accepting mediocrity on a message board.
Fans are fans for any reason. If they spend money on Cyclone athletics, they are okay in my book.
