Unless they're filthy rich, pretty much every Arena/indoor player has a regular day job (or two). For example, I believe the Barnstormers schedule practices around the standard workday.

Some leagues/teams will also help a player find employment and/or housing as part of the signing process if they're not already set.

It looks like they have 7 regular season home games, so I am just going to assume that they have 14 regular season games. Let's say the team goes .500, that is $3,325 for a whole season of football.

He would have made more money in one game at the University of Miami. For his sake I hope this is a stepping stone to something better.

ARob's agent needs to call the Detroit Lions. They desperately need a smart capable back. Their starter Javid Best is out, maybe for the year, with concussion issues. They tried trading for Ronnie Brown from the Dolphins, but the deal fell through. The return player in the trade, their 2nd team running back Jerome Harrison, was discovered to have a brain tumor and is also likely out of football, all least for some time.

not sure if serious ... best is out a week maybe two ... ronnie brown plays for the eagles now and harrison was the number 3 back on that team behind maurice morris and maybe even behind keiland williams ... plus they could always lineup in no back sets and throw all day

There was a reason why Kurt Warner bagged groceries while playing arena football and it wasn't for fun... I hope A-Rob racks up some stats and gets another sniff at the NFL.

Not sure if you missed this, but Ronnie Brown was traded to the Lions for Harrison, before it was discovered that Harrison had a brain tumor and is out for the rest of the season.

CBS Fantasy people were reporting that doctors were suggesting to Best that he sit out the rest of the season because of his concussions. Coaches and Best are shooting down the rumors, but it is a possibility.

I had heard the Harrison/Brown trade report and the brain tumor thing, just failed to make note of the other team in the trade. The report said that team doctors were recommending a long term break from football for Best, who had issues with concussions in college as well? Lions obviously had to have depth at RB to be returning one in the trade. Just passing it along, although a detail or two got garbled.
