The Cards won't let that guy go. They don't have a history of making that sort of ginormous mistake.

I don't know if they will shell out the coin for the amt of years he will want. I will say if he isn't a Cardinal, I'd bet he ends up in the AL; a 9-10 year deal is easier to swallow if you can stuff a player in the DH in the latter years.

Personally I think he's back next year. Which isn't good for us Royals fans. Always has like 4 blasts at the K.
