Man...Life on an NFL or MLB player. All that traveling around to different teams has got to suck. Wouldn't that be hard on family life?
Probably not that hard when you're in your early 20s and you have nothing too strong to tie you down (kind of like my situation right now). Leaving your family and friends behind at long stretches can be kind of rough, but the life and experience of the travel and playing a professional sport (never minding the $$$) has to be worth it. I can imagine it might become more and more of an issue once you start pushing towards 30 and wanting to settle and start a family, but most of them are out of the league by that point, anyways. I guess it just depends on the career, the person, and what they want to do with their personal and familial life.
