    ROY Awards

Atlanta Braves' Craig Kimbrel, Tampa Bay Rays Jeremy Hellickson named rookies of the year - ESPN

Not sure if I agree with these. But I'm a little biased towards the subject.

    Kimbrel is a no-brainer

Kimbrel might be. I was referring to the AL ROY winner. Should have been Hosmer or Trumbo.

I seen Hosmer play atleast 20 times this season in person and he's the real deal. I would have personally loved to have seen him win the ROY award but oh well. Now I pray the Royals will spend some money in the future to keep him.

He is a great 1B, still needs to learn a few things but it was his first year. Some people say he's the next Albert, but we'll see.

No question Hellickson deserved it. Great job by him. Wish the Twins had him.

    Re: ROY Awards

Just saw this. Eric Hosmer was the only "true" rookie. Didn't play one game in the MLB last year while Trumbo and Hellickson both played in September. I know the amount of games they played doesn't count for ROY, but still. Sorry I'm still ranting.

If it makes you feel any better, Pineda was more screwed than Hosmer.

I don't know if he's the next Albert but I feel he has untapped potential. If he stays in KC, he will never have the home runs that Albert has but his BA potential out of this world. I've been lucky to have one of my best friends get me free Royals tix when ever I want.
This same friend has also been able to get me free autographed merchandise. I'm lucky to have my Hosmer bat, ball, jersey and hat signed. Being a life long Royals fan, I hope he will stay. The only problem is money. Believe it or not, the Royals have the money. It's all Wal-Mart money. THey just need to spend it!

I agree. Really love our infield with the oldest guy being Escobar and Gio at 23. Hosmer needs to stay a Royal, but seeing that Boras is his agent I just don't see that happening. Would love to for sure keep Moose, Hosmer, Gordo and Perez. All the others can be replaced, but focus on those 4 guys. I feel a championship caliber team in KC brewing and it's going to happen in the next 1-2 years. (AL central championship that is)

    Isn`t Hellickson from Des Moines?
