Baseball adds another wildcard team

Yeah, not sure if I like this or not. Makes the regular season mean even less, especially if it is a 1 game playoff.

I disagree, it makes the regular season even more important now, because if you're the highest wildcard, you no longer get an automatic entrance into the first round of the playoffs, you have to play the other wild card team for it. It will motivate teams to win their divisions instead of just being 2nd best, and risk being taken out in one game by the other wild card team.

It seems like a way to force these one game, make or break type scenarios(Like Red Sox vs Rays this year, or White Sox vs Twins a couple years ago), but I think it's good, and motivates teams to try harder in the regular season, and gives teams in stacked divisions a chance to still make the playoffs.

Perfect imo. I think a one game playoff adds a lot to baseball. It's like 2011 all over again, each and every year...

I am fine with this. I will miss beating up on the Astros within the NL central though.

If it is a one game series I don't like it. It's baseball for God's sake, anyone can win on any given day. One bad game can ruin a season? Dumb.

I don't like it... sucks to come down to a 1 game playoff for the wildcard team. 1 game playoffs aren't really fair in baseball for any team that has earned a playoff spot, too much variance in baseball, need at least a 5 game series to determine anything. Oh well, we'll get used to it. Bet it will really **** off the AL East.
